Happy June! To kickstart our June posts, we are talking all about the three major events that will be taking place this month: BSG for Pride Month, BSG Day and the launch of our Summer 2022 Terrazzo Gel Polish Collection.

BSG X PRIDE MONTH

We love love, in all the glorious shapes and forms it comes in. Read on to find out all the ways we are advocating and supporting Pride Month this year! As a company founded and led by immigrant POC founders, all types of inclusivity and advocacy is important to us.

For Pride Month this year BSG will be hosting a series of events to celebrate and honour Pride. Stay tuned through our Instagram @bioseaweedgel and our blog (you can sign up on our email list to get first notice of new posts) to stay updated and find out more details about each event.

BUILD A RAINBOW BUNDLE PROMOTION

Starting June 1^st, we will be featuring a Build a Rainbow Bundle where you can customize and build your own rainbow set of gel colours for 25% off with code PRIDE2022! For every purchase using the PRIDE2022 code, BSG will be donating $1 to charities support and empower the LGBTQ+ community. We have a few organizations in mind, but if you know of a charity or organization that is doing impactful work in helping the LGBTQ+ community and needs the monetary support, we are all ears!

VOICES OF PRIDE

During Pride Month, we would like to extend the opportunity to open up our Instagram platform to feature nail artists and beauty professionals who represent the LGBTQ+ community and amplify their voices. BSG will be using our social platform to help share the experiences of LGBTQ+ nail and beauty professionals to aid in raising awareness and to educate.

PRIDE x POINTS FOR DONATION

The final initiative we will be running to celebrate Pride Month is introducing Points for Donation: Pride Month. This is where you will be able redeem your BSG points as a donation benefiting an organization  that supports and empowers the Black LGBTQ+ community.

For those who are new and may not be familiar with Points for Donation (‘PFD’) it is a reward in the BSG Rewards Program where customers are able to redeem their points as a $5 donation to the featured organization that empower and elevate s Black Communities. PFD allows customer to redeem their points as a charitable donation. BSG will top up an additional $1 to every customer’s donation made. You can learn more about PFD here.

June is not just a month we celebrate Pride but it also the month we recognize and celebrate Juneteenth, the day that celebrates the abolishment of Black slavery in the US and commemorating the freedom of enslaved African Americans.

Coincidentally, June 19^th is also the day Bio Seaweed Gel was incorporated, and we have since celebrated it as BSG Day and as BSG’s official birthday.

BSG DAY

BSG Day this year is a special one and we are thrilled be toasting to our Sweet 16th birthday!

BSG Day will start online on June 19^th 11AM EST and end June 20^th 11AM EST both on the Canada and USA website, where you’ll be able to enjoy:

SUMMER 2022 COLLECTION REVEAL + GIVEAWAY WINNER

Two is better than one! On June 19, we will also be celebrating the launch of the newest Specialty Gel Polish Collection: Terrazzo Gel Polish. In our blog post last month we hinted and asked our readers to guess the name of the upcoming Summer 2022 Collection. As we learned, there will be 6 new shades with a super unique and neon finish – think shapes and mod.

We applaud everyone who submitted their guesses and now is the reveal of the collection name. The name of the Summer 2022 Collection is the Here’s to You in our brand-new Specialty Gel, Terrazzo Gel Polish.
